What we collect

We collect what is necessary to run the service: your username, email address, the predictions you submit, and session information including your IP address and approximate location. No additional personal data is collected.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to operate the prediction game — calculating scores, displaying standings, and sending optional email notifications you opt in to. Session data including IP address and location is used for security purposes only (detecting suspicious logins). We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

Cookies

We use two cookies:

  • Session cookie — keeps you logged in between visits. It expires when you log out or after a period of inactivity.
  • Theme cookie — remembers your chosen colour scheme (light, dark, or system). Stored for one year.

No advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies are used.

Third-party APIs

We use the following external services:

  • football-data.org — provides fixture schedules and match results. Your personal data is not shared with this service.
  • ipapi.co — used to resolve your IP address to a city and country at login and when your IP changes, for session security purposes. Only your IP address is sent to this service; the returned location is stored against your session record. Results are cached for 7 days. See ipapi.co's privacy policy for details.

Data retention

Your account, prediction history, and associated session data are retained for up to 5 years from the date of your last activity, or until you request deletion. You may request removal of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
